The Chint Self-Resetting Over-Voltage & Under-Voltage Protector OUVR Series is a new type of intelligent protection electrical device. It can automatically cut off the circuit when over-voltage or under-voltage occurs in the line, and automatically reconnect the circuit once the voltage returns to normal.

Product Models

OUVR-1: As the basic model of this series, it adopts a modular standard design, available in pole configurations such as 1P+N and 3P+N, with rated current specifications including 32A, 40A, 50A, 63A, and 80A.

OUVR-2: An upgraded version of OUVR-1, it features compact size, built-in wires, high-altitude adaptability and wide temperature rise tolerance. It also comes in 1P+N and 3P+N pole types, with rated current specifications similar to OUVR-1.

OUVR-3: A digital display type over-voltage and under-voltage protector equipped with a voltage display function. It can show the line voltage in real time, enabling users to intuitively monitor the voltage status.

Product Features

Anti-malfunction: The protector will not trip when sudden transient over-voltage occurs in the line; it will not reconnect the circuit in case of voltage instability caused by poor contact or similar faults, or when power supply resumes abruptly after a sudden outage.

Reliable operation: The protection operates with an inverse time-lag characteristic, with an operating time ≤ 1 second.

Wide voltage protection range: The voltage protection range is 0-450V. The protector itself will not be damaged even when the line fault voltage reaches the maximum level.

Surge voltage withstanding capacity: It can withstand a 4kV surge voltage, complying with the safety standards for Class III electrical appliances.

Status indication: The protector is equipped with LED indicators to show its working status. The green light indicates normal voltage, while the red light indicates over-voltage or under-voltage conditions.

Easy installation: With a modular design, it is mounted on a DIN rail, allowing convenient installation inside distribution boxes.

Technical Parameters

Taking OUVR-1 as an example, its over-voltage tripping value is 270V±5V, under-voltage tripping value is 170V±5V, over-voltage recovery value ranges from 240V to 260V, under-voltage recovery value ranges from 185V to 195V, and the self-reset delay time is 30s±10s.

Scope of Application

It is suitable for users or loads with an AC voltage of 230/400V, a frequency of 50Hz, and a rated operating current of 80A or below. It is mainly used in residential sub-distribution boxes or other distribution lines requiring protection, and can prevent accidents caused by abnormal voltage supplied to terminal electrical appliances.

Dimensions & Installation

Dimensions: The 1P+N version of the OUVR-2 series only occupies 27mm of space, and the 3P+N version takes up 54mm. Its compact size saves installation space.

Installation method: It is installed on TH35-7.5 steel mounting rails, with the inclination angle between the mounting surface and the vertical plane not exceeding 5°.

Application Scenarios of Chint OUVR Series Self-Resetting Over-Voltage & Under-Voltage Protector
