1. Magnetic base is suitable for flat metal surfaces; use probe tip contact measurement for rough surfaces.
2. Lower frequency limit at 10Hz, not suitable for low-frequency large-displacement equipment (например. large steam turbines). Low-frequency measurement requires dedicated low-frequency vibration meters.
3. Only for simple inspection and severity evaluation. Spectrum analysis and bearing envelope demodulation require professional vibration analyzers (not this unit).

Ограничения (Critical for Avoiding Misuse)

2. Only severity measurement, no spectrum function to distinguish fault types. It only tells you “vibration is high”, and cannot easily tell whether it is unbalance or bearing failure.
3. Not suitable for high-frequency impact measurement of precision bearings (no envelope demodulation function).
4. Only measures casing surface vibration, not shaft vibration (shaft vibration requires eddy current probes).

For a water pump, measure vibration velocity at bearing position weekly.

ISO2372 standard: Within 10mm/s = Good; above 11.2mm/s requires monitored attention; above 18mm/s is dangerous and equipment shall be shut down for maintenance. VB-8200 reads this mm/s value.
