Working Principle of AIRTAC 2V Pilot-Operated Solenoid Valves (2V130 / 2V250)
AIRTAC 2V130 / 2V250 are pilot-operated normally closed 2/2-way solenoid valves, with a completely different principle from the direct-acting 2V025.
- Structure de base (Pilot-operated = Small valve controls large valve)
It consists of two internal parts:
- Pilot spool (small coil, small orifice)
- Main spool (large diaphragm/piston, controls main flow path)
The coil only opens the pilot orifice without directly lifting the main valve seat — the main valve is opened by the pressure of the medium itself.
- De-energized (Normalement fermé)

Pressure above diaphragm = pressure below diaphragm
Diaphragm pressed against main seat by spring + pressure
→ Main air/water path fully closed, no medium flow
