This module supports full S120 Safety Integrated (Básico + Estendido + Advanced Safety). Hardware is ready for extended safety functions. CU320 / CU320-2 control unit, safety license, safety encoder (for partial functions) and ProfiSafe F-CPU are required to activate relevant functions.

S120 Basic Safety vs Extended Safety (for 6SL3126-1TE21-8AA4)
Core summary: Basic Safety = Torque removal, time-based stop; Extended Safety = Speed / position monitored safety, limited operation permitted
Basic SS1 (Time-controlled): Decelerate via OFF3 ramp, countdown only. STO activated once timer expires. No actual speed feedback check. STO will still trigger after timeout even if axis is jammed or overspeeding during deceleration.
Extended SS1 (SBR/SAM): OFF3 deceleration ramp active with deceleration ramp monitoring (SBR) / acceleration monitoring (SAM). If deceleration is too slow or overspeed occurs, safety fault + STO is triggered before timeout.
Advanced safety SLP/SP/SCA belong to position-based extended safety, also requiring license and safety encoder.
