- Non-shielded design: Do not embed the senzor in metal. Maintain ≥8 mm clearance from side metal surfaces; otherwise sensing distance will degrade.
- When mounting two identical sensors side-by-side, keep center-to-center spacing ≥24 mm to prevent mutual interference.
- Recommended working gap: 0-5.6 mm (reliable sensing range). Avoid permanent contact with metal surfaces.

- PNP wiring: Brown →24V+, Blue →0V, Black →PLC input. Black wire outputs +24 V when metal target approaches.
- Max load current 200 mA. Do not drive large-coil solenoid valves directly. Use PLC input or intermediate relay.
- Aluminiu, copper and stainless-steel targets reduce effective sensing distance; reduce working gap.

- Embedded-in-metal installation requirement: Non-shielded PSN17-8DP will malfunction when embedded. Choose shielded PS17-5DP instead.
- Heavy-welding high-current environments: Implement cable shielding and proper routing to avoid false triggering.
- Direct solenoid-valve-coil driving: Max 200 mA load rating. Connect via PLC input or intermediate relay.
