1. Troubleshooting Checklist for MBS3000 060G1113 (2-wire 4-20mA)

Tools required: Цифровой мультиметр (мА & V range), insulation tester; Do NOT plug/unplug DIN connector under power.

1. Power check: Measure voltage between Pin1-Pin2 of transmitter, normal operating voltage 9~32VDC. Output fails below 9V.
2. Polarity verification: Pin1=24V+, Pin2=signal return. Reverse polarity is protected internally, transmitter will not be damaged but no output.

4. Water ingress / oxidation at connector: Failed sealing of angular DIN plug causes terminal corrosion; check for water stains or green rust.
5. Severe diaphragm damage from overpressure: Long-term pressure exceeding 4bar deforms diaphragm and damages internal sensing element.
6. Fixed at 4mA (minimum reading, no response to pressure change)

Quick test: Disconnect transmitter, short the loop. If PLC reads ~20mA, PLC module and wiring are good, fault lies in transmitter.

3. Fixed at 20mA (full scale reading, no response to pressure change)
4. Short circuit in loop: Cable insulation damage causing short between positive and negative cores, shorted terminals inside DIN plug.
5. Permanent damage caused by sustained overpressure; bulged diaphragm locks sensor output at full scale.
6. Strongly corrosive medium penetrates 316L diaphragm and causes internal leakage.

Quick test: Remove transmitter, if PLC reading drops back, module is healthy, fault in transmitter or field wiring.

9. Aging drift: Degradation of sensing element after long service time.

Калибровка: Vent to atmospheric pressure to check if reading returns to 0bar (4мА). Large deviation requires zero correction, MBS3000 has no local zero adjustment knob, correction can only be done via controller software.

Ground loop caused by shield grounding at both ends. Correct practice: Shield grounded only at control cabinet end, shield at transmitter end kept floating.

Signal cable routed together with power cables (контакторы, motor cables). Separate routing with minimum distance ≥30cm; cross cables perpendicularly, avoid parallel laying.

2. Pressure shock / water hammer: Instant pressure spikes vibrate diaphragm even for 0~1bar range; switch to MBS3050 with built-in snubber if water hammer exists.

4. Insufficient filtering on PLC module: Short filter time on AI channel amplifies noise. Increase channel filtering time.

6. Intermittent fault (reading unstable, works occasionally)

Vibration loosens connector or causes internal wire break at bending points.

Insulation expansion/contraction with temperature change leads to intermittent short/open circuit.

Danfoss MBS3000 060G1113 Installation Instructions (0~1bar, Г1/4, Angular DIN)

Divided into mechanical installation, электромонтаж, середина & operating condition, pre-commissioning check and prohibited operations, tailored for this low-range gauge transmitter.

1. Механический монтаж (G1/4 external thread)
2. Момент затяжки: Recommended ≤25 N·m. Never use wrench on black plastic DIN connector; only clamp the metal hexagon for tightening. Excessive torque creates residual stress on diaphragm, zero drift and permanent sensor damage.
3. Thread sealing: G1/4 is non-sealing cylindrical pipe thread. PTFE tape or thread sealant is recommended. Wrap PTFE tape on external thread, do not wrap tape to thread tip to prevent debris entering pressure cavity and blocking diaphragm. Thick gaskets for lifting transmitter are prohibited.

Liquid pipeline: Mount diaphragm horizontally or facing downward to avoid air bubbles trapped on diaphragm surface causing signal noise.

Gas pipeline: Mount diaphragm upward to prevent condensate accumulating on diaphragm.

Cable entry of angular DIN plug points downward, preventing rainwater / condensate flowing into plug and breaking IP65 protection.

4. Pressure tap selection

Tap hole on side of pipeline, avoid bottom (sediment accumulation blocking diaphragm) or top (скопление газа).

Add short nipple and support bracket for high vibration pipeline to reduce vibration transfer to transmitter.

5. Pressure protection (this model only 0~1bar range)

Max continuous overpressure 4 бар. Burst pressure is much higher, but instantaneous water hammer spike can easily rupture diaphragm. MBS3000 has no built-in snubber, switch to MBS3050 if pressure spike / water hammer exists.

Remove transmitter or isolate with shut-off valve before pipeline hydro test. Never perform pipeline purging with transmitter mounted, high-speed particles scratch 316L diaphragm.

6. Thermal isolation: Fit cooling nipple / heat dissipation sleeve when medium temperature approaches upper limit 85℃, reduce heat conduction to transmitter body and avoid thermal drift.
