The SBF1 itself is a Scanner Block, belonging to modular split fiber amplifiers. A complete operating system consists of four categories: Mandatory Core Modules, Fiber Optic Sensing Accessories, Mounting Hardware, and Replacement Spare Parts.

  1. Three Core Electrical Modules (Mandatory for Operation)

The complete photoelectric system is assembled from three independent modules, all of which are required (except for through-beam transmitters).

  1. SBF1 Main Unit: Scanner Block (Part No. 17627)

It integrates a modulation and amplification circuit, fiber-coupled optical window, sensitivity adjustment knob, AID alignment indicator, and O-ring sealed top cover. Its housing is made of flame-retardant PBT plastic with pre-reserved slots for plugging the power block and logic module.

Built-in small components: Top sealing O-ring, dust cover for sensitivity adjustment, status indicator light.

  1. Power Block (Multiple AC/DC models available; PBP, PBC are widely used)

Functions: Power supply, external wiring, switching output (NPN/PNP/relay)

Main models:

PBP: 24VDC 4-wire DC output (most commonly matched with SBF1)

PBC: 220V AC powered model

Included accessories: Outlet cable/terminal block, locking latches

  1. Logic Module (Optional; not required for through-beam transmitters)

Installed between the SBF1 and power block to realize functions including delay, light-on/dark-on switching, pulse triggering, etc.

Common models: LM1, LM2, LM3, LM4, LMT, etc. It can be omitted if no logic functions are needed.

Complete assembly example: SBF1 + PBP + LM3

  1. Supporting Fiber Optic Sensing Accessories (Core Detection End Components)
  2. Glass Fiber Cables (Exclusive for SBF1; plastic fiber is incompatible)

Models: BF series and BFX series through-beam/retro-reflective fiber probes. Both ends of the fiber connector plug into the SBF1 optical window.

  1. Fiber fixing clips, fiber protective conduits, fiber extension connectors

III. Mounting Bracket Kits

  1. Standard R1 mounting bracket (supplied with screws, flat washers, spring washers) for multi-angle rotation and adjustment
  2. Flat mounting base, L-shaped right-angle bracket, extended adjustment bracket
  3. Cabinet mounting locking bolts, anti-vibration rubber gaskets
  4. Original Manufacturer Replacement Spare Parts (Sold Separately)
  5. UC-F Top Cover Assembly (Part No. 16528): Sealed adjustable top cover for SBF1, equipped with an O-ring seal
  6. Replacement waterproof O-ring (seal for sensitivity adjustment cover)
  7. Module plug-in locking latches, housing fixing screws
  8. AID indicator replacement component
  9. Standard Compact Kit List (Standard On-site Configuration)

Minimum basic operating kit:

SBF1 Scanner Block + PBP DC Power Block + Glass Fiber Cable + R1 Mounting Bracket + Fixing Screws

Add LM series logic modules if delay functions are required.

Supplementary Notes

  1. The SBF1 is only a fiber amplifier head. It cannot be powered on or generate output signals independently and must be paired with a power block.
  2. Plastic fiber probes are incompatible with the SBF1; only the BF series glass fiber is supported.
  3. The logic module is optional and can be omitted for simple presence/absence detection without delay requirements.

Complete Selection Guide for BANNER SBF1 Mounting Hardware

  1. Four Core Selection Criteria (Confirm Working Conditions Before Selecting Accessories)
  2. Mounting Base: Aluminum extrusion slotted plate / steel flat plate / round tubular column / compact cabinet
  3. Adjustment Requirements: Multi-angle fine-tuning, forward/backward/left/right displacement, 360° rotation
  4. Working Environment: Vibration, oil contamination, moisture, dust, extreme high/low temperature, corrosion
  5. Cable & Fiber Protection: Anti-bending protection for glass fiber, cable strain relief
  6. Classification & Application Scenarios of Original Standard SBF1 Brackets
  7. Standard R1 Fixed Bracket (General Standard, Most Widely Used)

Structure: L-shaped bent steel bracket with long slotted holes, complete with M4 screws, flat washers, spring washers, lock nuts

Compatible Bases: Equipment steel plates, sheet metal flat surfaces, standard 20/30/40 aluminum extrusion slots

Adjustment Range: Forward/backward and vertical sliding displacement, ±90° pitch fine-tuning; no 360° rotation

Application Scenarios: Packaging machines, production lines, general machine tools, equipment without severe vibration

Advantages: Low cost, fast installation, high rigidity; standard accessory for new machines

Selection Recommendation: Directly choose R1 for conventional flat surface mounting

  1. SMB Adjustable Rotating Bracket (High-precision Multi-direction Fine-tuning)

Structure: Universal swivel clamp bracket supporting 360° circumferential rotation and pitch tilt; double locking design to prevent displacement

Compatible Bases: Φ30mm round tubular columns, cylindrical equipment supports, stations requiring frequent optical path calibration

Application Scenarios: Stations with frequent product changeovers, through-beam fiber alignment, high-precision detection, AGVs, lithium battery equipment

Advantages: Greatly reduced commissioning time for fiber alignment; multi-layer locking withstands mild vibration

Selection Recommendation: SMB series is mandatory for stations requiring repeated multi-angle optical path calibration

  1. Ultra-thin Narrow Bracket (For Confined Spaces Only)

Structure: Thin flat bracket with no extra bends, occupying less than 15mm lateral space

Application Scenarios: Compact cabinet interiors, mold side gaps, narrow mounting positions on manipulators

Limitations: Short adjustment travel; not suitable for high-vibration working conditions

III. Accessory Selection by Environmental Working Conditions (Anti-corrosion / Anti-vibration / Waterproof)

  1. Ordinary Dry Indoor Environment (Ambient Temperature, Low Dust, No Vibration)

Standard Assembly: R1 Bracket + Original Standard Carbon Steel Screws

No extra accessories required; only add fiber clips as needed to secure BF glass fiber.

  1. Oil/Moisture/Wet Environment (Food Machinery, Cleaning Equipment, Injection Molding)
  2. Bracket Upgrade: Stainless steel R1-SUS and stainless steel SMB brackets for rust and corrosion resistance
  3. Anti-vibration Accessories: Rubber anti-vibration gaskets (placed between bracket and equipment surface) to avoid optical path offset caused by vibration
  4. Fiber Protection: Corrugated conduit + fiber fixing clips to prevent fiber sheath corrosion and breakage from frequent bending
  5. High-vibration Working Conditions (Stamping Equipment, Machine Tools, Vibrating Conveyors)
  6. Bracket Options: Thickened carbon steel R1 or stainless steel SMB universal bracket
  7. Locking Components: Triple locking structure with lock nuts, spring washers and anti-vibration rubber gaskets
  8. Fiber Protection: Rigid metal protective conduit to eliminate fiber breakage from vibration
  9. Thin ultra-thin brackets are prohibited; insufficient rigidity leads to signal drift and false triggering
  10. Dust/Metal Chip Environment (Machine Tools, Hardware Processing)

Add fiber dust-proof sleeves, install dust plugs at SBF1 fiber ports, and orient bracket slots downward to avoid chip accumulation blocking the optical path.

  1. Extreme Temperature / Outdoor Use

Adopt temperature-resistant stainless steel brackets; ordinary painted brackets peel and rust under low temperatures.

  1. Selection of Fiber Mounting Accessories (Only BF Glass Fiber Compatible with SBF1)
  2. Fiber Fixing Clips

Short-distance stationary installation: Small plastic clips secured by adhesive or screws

Moving mechanisms (manipulators, reciprocating slides): Metal flexible conduit + fiber cable glands to control minimum bend radius (Minimum R ≥ 3mm for glass fiber)

  1. Fiber Extension Connectors: For splicing multiple fiber segments and routing around corners in confined spaces
  2. Mini Fiber Probe Bracket: Separately fixes the fiber detection head from the SBF1 main unit to avoid detection interference caused by main unit vibration
  3. Special Adapters for Aluminum Extrusions & Round Tubular Columns
  4. Standard Aluminum Extrusions (20/30/40 Slots)

The R1 bracket can be directly fitted with T-bolts without extra adapter plates. R1 + T-bolts are preferred for mass production equipment for easy assembly and disassembly.

  1. Φ30mm Round Tubular Columns

Directly select SMB clamp brackets, which lock firmly without additional adapter plates.

VII. Selection Taboos (Key Pitfalls to Avoid)

  1. Plastic lightweight brackets are forbidden: The full SBF1 assembly (SBF1 + PBP + LM module) has a relatively heavy weight. Plastic brackets deform under long-term vibration, causing optical path offset and false alarms.
  2. Avoid sharp bending of glass fiber: Protective conduits are mandatory; fiber breakage and failure occur if the bend radius is less than 3mm.
  3. R1 bracket alone cannot be used in high-vibration environments: Without universal locking, sensitivity drifts over time and leads to unstable detection.
  4. Ordinary painted brackets are prohibited in corrosive environments: They rust rapidly, seizing screws and preventing disassembly and maintenance later.

VIII. Standard Complete Procurement List (General Working Conditions)

SBF1 Main Unit + PBP Power Block + BF Glass Fiber + R1 Bracket + Fixing Screw Kit + Fiber Clips

Replace R1 with SMB universal brackets for high-precision adjustable stations; add anti-vibration gaskets and metal fiber corrugated conduits for wet or high-vibration environments.
