- UR2-H is only compatible with S7-400H redundant CPUs (412H/414H/417H); standard single CPUs 412/414 cannot be configured for redundancy.
- The left and right backplanes are powered independently. Separate PS power supplies are recommended for both sides to improve redundancy reliability.
- Cross connection and mixed use of backplane buses between Rack 0 and Rack 1 are prohibited.
- Only IM461 receiver modules can be used for extension racks; CPUs and IM transmitter modules are forbidden to be inserted.
