- 16 independent programmable relays: Each channel can select its trigger source separately for dry-contact protection outputs such as shaft vibration, axial displacement, differential expansion and speed.
- Flexible voting logic: Supports 1-out-of-2, 2-out-of-2 and multi-channel voting to reduce false trip and fail-to-trip risks. Latch function is available with software-selectable reset modes.
- Relay delay configuration: Debounce delay can be set to filter transient spike alarms and prevent spurious operations.
- Module self-diagnostics: Card self-test, backplane communication fault and relay loop diagnostics. Faults are reported to the system event list.
- Event logging: Relay activation and module fault data are stored in the rack event log for post-fault root cause analysis.

- Instalare & Configuration Guidelines
- Rack: Standard 19-inch 3500 rack with backplane communication. Hot-swap is supported (interlocks must be removed before operation).
- Cablaj: Relays use dry contacts. Mixing high AC/DC power cables with intrinsically safe cables is strictly prohibited. Shielded cables are recommended separately for trip circuits.
- Configuration Procedure
Connect PC to the rack and launch Rack Configuration software to identify the rack.
Select the 3500/33 card, choose trigger source for each channel (de ex. Danger signal from 3500/42M vibration channel).
Configure logic: AND/OR, voting mode, latch and action delay.
Download configuration to rack, perform module self-test and simulate alarms to verify relay operation.
- Testare: Relay outputs can be forced in software to conduct on-site loop joint testing.
- Common Troubleshooting Checklist
- OK LED flashing at 1Hz: No valid configuration downloaded to the card → Re-download rack configuration and run self-test.
- Abnormal TX/RX flashing: Backplane communication fault. Inspect backplane and RIM module, re-seat the card.
- Relay does not actuate when alarm condition is met: Verify configuration logic, voting rules and delay parameters; force output to test relay hardware integrity.
- Relay actuates but no signal in external loop: Check terminal wiring, contact erosion and external loop power supply.
- Flash fault event reported: Module flash memory damaged; card replacement required.
