2. Suffix L/H must not be ignored: B1L and B1H differ in hardware and voltage range. Wrong replacement causes abnormal output and OVP protection.

Parallel Application of TDK-Lambda Vega450 Output Modules

✅ Parallel connection is available, but direct external wiring parallel is not allowed. The official qualified solution is Z module (Factory pre-paralleled with built-in active current sharing). Standard modules are NOT recommended for field direct parallel.

1. Two Parallel Modes

① Z Module (Official Standard Parallel Solution, widely used in K40061 equipment)

Z module = Two identical standard Vega modules pre-paralleled at factory, equipped with built-in active current sharing bus and busbar. Current matching is completed before delivery to increase output current.

Example Z7 = D3+D3 parallel, 8~16.5V, total 45.6A

ميزة: Even load sharing, protection interlock, officially approved solution. Specify Z module during ordering. Finished power supply comes as a single Z module instead of two discrete modules wired on site.

Standard B/C/D/E/H discrete modules are not recommended to directly parallel output terminals on site:

1. Standard modules have no external current share pins. Hard parallel connection leads to severe current imbalance. One module bears most load, resulting in overheating, OVP/OLP protection or burnt module.
2. If modules are equipped with N option (current share option), same-model modules can be paralleled with current share signal wiring; prerequisites:

Two modules identical model & same batch

Installed on adjacent slots

Star-point current sharing signal wires and Remote Sense sampling wires connected synchronously

Positive/negative output cables with strictly same gauge & طول

Total power consumption under load shall not exceed Vega450 450W limit

Most legacy OEM power supplies such as K40061 have standard modules without N current share option, cannot be paralleled on site.

9. If higher output current required: Check whether original configuration uses Z module. When Z module fails, purchase complete Z module replacement. Do not build parallel combination manually from discrete modules.
10. Adding new parallel channels on legacy Vega450 is not advised: High aging risk of main board and fan. إي إم سي & safety certification will be invalid after modification. Semiconductor machine vendors usually reject such modification.
