Wiring Reminder

Relays are passive dry contacts. External power supply is required. The instrument does not supply internal power to contacts; do not connect directly to sensor circuits.

GEFAHR 40T-48-4-00-RR-0-0-0-0 Relay Operation Mode

✅ Both OUT1 and OUT2 relays support custom configuration via front panel

Beachten: This is a digital alarm indicator without PID control. Relays can only be used as alarm outputs, not temperature control outputs.

  1. Configurable Alarm Modes (Independent for two relays)
  2. Absolute High Alarm (Hi)

Relay energizes when measured value setpoint

  1. Absolute Low Alarm (Lo)

Relay energizes when measured value < Sollwert

  1. Deviation Alarm (Positiv / Negative Deviation)

Trigger based on deviation relative to setpoint (commonly used for differential monitoring)

Relay activates on thermocouple/Pt100 open circuit or signal over-range

  1. Critical Limitations
  2. Hardware contacts are Normally Open dry contacts. Physical hardware cannot be changed to Normally Closed; “de-energized on alarmis realized purely by software logic.
  3. Cannot be configured as PID on/off control output (40T series is indicator, not PID controller like 400 / 2500 Serie).
  4. OUT1 and OUT2 work independently; combination such as high limit on one channel and low limit on the other is supported.
