Alternativa: GT2705-VTBD (especificación más alta)
⚠️ Common Faults & Puntos de solución de problemas
- Dim backlight / black screen with responsive touch: CCFL backlight aging, the most frequent failure. No original factory backlight spare parts available; most repairs involve retrofitting LED backlights.
- Fallo de comunicación: Verify baud rate and station number; do not mix Q-Bus mode and serial mode; avoid reversed A/B wiring for RS422.
- Pérdida de tiempo / recipe reset: Built-in lithium battery GT11-50BAT depleted; replace battery directly.
- CF card not recognized: Only standard legacy CF cards are supported. High-speed CF cards and CF-to-SD adapters are often unstable.
- Touch drift / local touch failure: Wear of matrix resistive film; replace touch panel.
📏 Installation & Calificación ambiental
Montaje: Embedded panel mount with snap fasteners
Entorno operativo: 0~50 ℃, IP65 on front face (with installed sealing gasket), IP20 on rear side
- Separar & Dimensiones generales (GT1155-QSBD)
Unidad: milímetros, standard landscape installation
Recorte del panel: 153 (W.) × 121 (h), tolerance +0~+1mm, cabinet plate thickness recommended 1.6~5mm
Dimensión general: 164 (W.) × 135 (h) × 55 (D)
Espacio libre de instalación: Reserve ≥10mm space top and bottom for snap disassembly; install factory gasket in sealing groove to maintain front IP65 rating
⚠️ GT2505-VTBD cutout: 156 × 124, 3mm wider and taller than the original. Original cutout will be undersized. On-site solutions:
- Enlarge cutout (privilegiado); 2. Install adapter flange plate; 3. Switch to GT2705-VTBD (cutout fully compatible with original 153×121)
- Q-Bus Wiring for Direct Q-CPU Connection
The Q-Bus of GT1155-QSBD is not a DB9 serial port. It is an onboard dedicated Q-Bus interface, using GT01-C30R2-6P flat bus cable plugged directly into the front bus port of Q-CPU. It cannot be made with ordinary RS422 cables.
Communication mode setting: Select Q CPU (Direct Bus Connection) in the GOT connection target, not RS422
Important restrictions:
Q-Bus only supports Q-series CPU (Q00/Q01/Q02/Q03UD/Q04UDH, etc.), not L/R/FX series
Bus channel and rear DB9 RS422 serial port are independent; do not use both simultaneously
Max cable length: 3metro; no station number required for bus communication, direct CPU access
Matching cable part numbers: GT01-C10R2-6P (1metro) / GT01-C30R2-6P (3metro)
【Alternative serial connection to Q PLC】Using DB9 RS422, seleccionar “Q CPU Serial Connection”. Standard Mitsubishi RS422 DB9 pin definition:
Shield single-ended grounding only at PLC side; grounding at both ends causes circulating interference current.
- Full Migration Checklist: GT11 Project → GT2505-VTBD (GT Obras3)
Requisito previo: GT Works3 V1.115 or newer. Older versions have many conversion bugs for legacy GT11 projects.
Paso 1: Backup Original Project
- Open GT1155-QSBD project in GT Works2 / GT Obras3
- Save a separate original copy (.G11). Do not convert directly on the original file.
- Upload project from HMI first (tarjeta CF / USB) to avoid inconsistency between source file and program inside HMI.
Paso 2: Model Conversion
- Menú: Project → Change Model
- Source model: GT1155-QSBD; modelo objetivo: GT2505-VTBD
- Conversion options: Check screen conversion, comments, alarmas, recetas; uncheck legacy GT11 exclusive OS functions
Critical resolution note: GT11=320×240; GT2505=640×480. Screens scale 2× automatically, component positions shift. Every screen must be adjusted manually!
Paso 3: Communication Verification (Critical for Q-Bus Version)
✅ Major risk: GT25 series has NO onboard Q-Bus interface!!
This is the biggest pitfall for GT1155-QSBD replacement. The native Q-Bus direct link is removed on GT25. Two retrofit options:
Opción A (Recomendado): Add QJ71E71-100 Ethernet module to Q PLC, GT25 communicates via SLMP over Ethernet TCP
Opción B: Abandon bus, use RS422 serial to connect Q CPU programming port, set connection target to 【Q CPU Serial】 and replace with RS422 cable
❗ Original GT01-C30R2-6P flat bus cable CANNOT be reused; the hardware interface no longer exists.
Paso 4: Functional Inspection Checklist
Screens: Botones, lámparas, numeric input, bar graphs, text; fix overflow and overlapping elements after scaling
Scripts / Macros: Legacy GT11 C scripts and bitwise functions may be incompatible; rewrite scripts with errors
Alarm records: Verify alarm trigger conditions, pop-up windows and alarm reset logic
Recipes: Migrate GT11 SRAM recipes to GT25 Flash / SD storage; check D register offset addresses
Real-time clock: GT11 uses GT11-50BAT; GT2000 uses different battery model
Transparent transmission: Reconfigure USB transparent and serial transparent channels for GT25
CF card functions: Legacy CF on GT11 replaced by SD on GT25; modify file paths for log/recipe export in scripts
Third-party communication (Modbus etc.): Velocidad de baudios, parity and station numbers are generally compatible, frame timing requires testing
Paso 5: Descargar & Power-On Test Procedure
- Después de la conversión, compile and resolve all errors and warnings before download
- Download to GT25; do not hot-swap on site directly. Test communication on bench first.
- Register verification: Randomly read/write X/Y/M/D registers and cross-check with PLC online monitor
- Touch test: GT11 supports two-point touch, GT25 analog resistive is single-point only. Any logic relying on simultaneous dual-touch must be modified
- Verify backlight, buzzer and screen switching speed
- Piezas de repuesto & Consumables List
Batería: GT11-50BAT (original for GT1155-QSBD, 3V lithium, clock and SRAM recipe backup)
Sealing gasket: GT1155-QSBD dedicated gasket; front IP65 rating fails once aged
tarjeta CF: Only standard legacy CF (≤2GB). High-speed CF and CF-to-SD adapters have poor compatibility
Communication cables: GT01-C10R2-6P / GT01-C30R2-6P (Q-Bus flat cable)
- Supplementary Quick Troubleshooting for Q-Bus
- Communication error alarm: Confirm connection target set to 【Q Bus】 not RS422; bent pins and loose plugs on flat cable are common faults
- Bus connected but register read failure: Verify accessible soft element range of Q-CPU; some special registers are restricted under bus mode
- Intermittent disconnection: Flat cable damage from repeated bending; separate bus cable from power cables and add ferrite core.
GT1155-QSBD Replacement & Engineering Change Implementation Plan
Core constraint: Q-Bus is exclusive to the old model. GT25/GT27 have no such hardware interface. Communication architecture modification is mandatory; it is not a simple panel swap and program download.
Two replacement routes:
Route A: GT2505-VTBD (rentable, cutout mismatch, SLMP Ethernet / RS422 serial)
Route B: GT2705-VTBD (original 153×121 cutout compatible, less cabinet modification, Ethernet)
7 work modules: ECN Engineering Change Notice, BOM Update, Electrical Drawing Update, HMI Project Migration & Update, PLC Side Modification, Operation Document Update, On-Site Validation & File Archiving
- ECN Engineering Change Notice (Formal Approval Document for Purchasing / Producción / Aftersales / Customer)
Required contents in ECN:
- Change reason: GT1155-QSBD discontinued, factory spare part supply terminated
- Old part: GT1155-QSBD; New part: GT2505-VTBD / GT2705-VTBD
- Communication change (llave):
Original: Q-Bus flat cable GT01-CxxR2-6P direct to Q-CPU
New two options:
✅ Opción 1 (Privilegiado): Add QJ71E71-100 Ethernet module to Q PLC, HMI SLMP over Ethernet TCP
✅ Option2: Remove bus, use RS422 serial to PLC programming port
- Scope of impact: lista de materiales, electrical schematic, cabinet cutout, alambrado, HMI project, PLC network parameters, spare part list, operation manual
- Rollout timing: New orders fully switch over; field replacement for breakdown maintenance on demand
- Risk items: Screen scaling offset, dual-touch logic invalid, CF changed to SD, dedicated bus cable obsolete
- Approval signature: Eléctrico, software, proceso, adquisitivo, customer (if end-user equipment)
Attachments: Comparison table, communication topology drawing, cutout comparison, informe de prueba
- BOM Update
- Remove items: GT1155-QSBD, GT01-C10R2/30R2-6P Q-Bus flat cable, GT11-50BAT battery, GT11 dedicated gasket, legacy CF card

2) Cabinet Cutout & Panel Machining Drawing
Route A (GT2505-VTBD): Original 153×121 → New 156×124
Drawing note: Enlarge cutout by 3mm or use adapter flange
Route B (GT2705-VTBD): 153×121 compatible, only update model marking
Front panel nameplate: Update model
3) Terminal Diagram & Cabinet Layout Drawing
Remove original bus connector location; update routing for network / serial cable; mark shield grounding specification
- HMI Project Migration & Version Update (Core Work)
Recommended software: GT Works3 V1.115 or newer
- Source archive: Separate backup of original .G11 project + HMI upload backup (tarjeta CF). Keep legacy archive, do not overwrite.
- Model conversion: Project → Change Model, GT1155-QSBD → GT2505/GT2705-VTBD
- Screen adjustment (320×240 →640×480 auto 2× zoom):
Correct overflow, overlapping text, trend and alarm window on each screen
Crítico: Dual simultaneous touch function no longer works. If interlock logic relies on dual press, migrate logic to PLC or rewrite HMI script
- Reconfigure communication target (major risk point)
Delete old 【Q CPU (Direct Bus Connection)】
Ethernet SLMP: New connection target → QCPU (Ethernet SLMP), fill IP, network No., station No.
Serial scheme: New 【Q CPU Serial Connection】, match baud rate and parity with PLC
- Functional revision
CF export for logs/recipes: Change all file paths to SD in scripts
Legacy GT11 macros / C scripts: Rewrite incompatible functions and test
Recipe: SRAM recipe migrated to Flash / DAKOTA DEL SUR, verify D register offset
Alarma / history log: Export medium changed from CF to SD
Transparent transmission: Reconfigure USB and serial transparent channels
- Compilar, clear warnings, generate new .G2S project, upgrade version number (Vx.x, remark: GT1155-QSBD replacement)
