- Two Primary Fixing Methods
Método 1: Standard TH35 DIN Rail Clip Mounting (Most Common in Cabinets)
LUB12 is equipped with spring latches on the rear, compatível com 35 mm standard electrical TH35-7.5 DIN rail

- Complete LUB12 base fixing; install control unit before wiring;
- Align LUC unit with the upper guide slot of the base and push vertically downward;

- If communication modules (LULC) or auxiliary contact modules are required, plug them into the right-side expansion slot of the base.
Removal of LUC unit: Press the front release buckle and pull upward directly, no need to disconnect power cables (major modular maintenance advantage).

⚠️ Critical Wiring Restrictions
- Main circuit rule: Power enters top terminals, motor connects bottom terminals; power and motor cables must not be reversed!
- Bare flexible wires without cable ferrules easily cause strand scattering and short circuit;
- Insufficient torque → overheating and terminal burnout; excessive torque → thread slipping and plastic housing cracking;
- No exposed copper strands after wiring to prevent phase-to-phase short circuit; maintain IP20 protection degree.

LUB12 has no restrictions on motor brands! Compatibility depends only on electrical parameters and motor type, regardless of manufacturer.
It is merely a switching base for three-phase AC circuits. Any brand of three-phase AC asynchronous motor can be applied if all conditions below are satisfied.

❌ Forbidden for Direct Driving
- Permanent magnet synchronous motor: Normally driven by inverter; overload protection characteristics of LUC unit do not match permanent magnet motors, and cannot start directly from mains.
- Wound rotor asynchronous motor (rotor resistance speed regulation type): Protection logic mismatch.
- Single-phase motor, DC motor.
- Servo motor, inverter-duty motor: Controlled by inverter output; LUB12 cannot be connected on inverter output side.
⚠️ Important Reminder: Inverter-duty motor can only use LUB12 on the power input side as an isolator. LUB12 is strictly prohibited on inverter output terminals! High-frequency PWM voltage will damage contacts and control unit.
- Key Configuration Points for Cross-Brand Motor Application
- LUC control unit must be matched; LUB12 base cannot work independently.
- Accurately set overload protection current of LUC unit according to rated current printed on motor nameplate.
- For motors with high starting inrush current (compressores de ar, high-pressure pumps), prefer LUCB/LUCC advanced control units with phase loss and phase unbalance protection.
- When replacing motors of different brands, only readjust the LUC current setting; no replacement of the base required.
- Common Misconception Clarification
- ❌ Myth: Schneider motor starters can only be matched with Schneider motors
✅ Correction: TeSys U is a universal IEC standard motor starter. It is widely used with domestic and other foreign-brand motors in industry; no brand lock-in.
- ❌ Myth: Motors with power close to 5.5 kW are always suitable
✅ Correction: Priority reference: corrente nominal. Some multi-pole and special motors have higher current at the same power rating and cannot be used if exceeding 12 UM.
