- IM155-6 PN module must be fitted with a bus adapter; the bare module cannot accept network cables directly.
- MRP redundant ring requires 6AR00 dual RJ45 version. Single-port 6AF00 cannot support ring topology.
- It is recommended to use Siemens industrial green PROFINET cables and industrial shielded RJ45 plugs.
- The module shall only be mounted on DIN35 rail inside control cabinets; outdoor installation is prohibited.
Common Troubleshooting Tips
Intermittent communication: Check shielding grounding of RJ45 connectors and ensure all 8 cable cores are terminated.
Failure to establish MRP ring: Confirm MRP is activated in TIA Portal and all ring nodes use dual-port bus adapters.
